I am a total noob when it comes to downloading, etc from Itunes but I wanted to let people know that if you change your card details, make sure you have at least £1.58 in your bank!
Itunes will put a hold on this money to check your details are correct and make sure you can pay.
But I have been totally stung and feeling rather foolish as I changed my details without a thought and checked my bank today, one cancelled DD and a soon to be £30 bank charge for my sterling efforts!
I definately will not be making that mistake again.
Regards,

That happened to me. I put my card on Itunes, took off for security purposes a few times and had a few pending £1.58's!! They drop off after a week or so. Luckily sussed what was going on.....
Play.com did have a pending £1 on my debit card which caused embarrassment in a supermarket as I had insufficient funds!

Thank you Iluvcats, I am so glad that it has happened to somebody else!!
I will be saying this mantra now everytime I buy anything "I must read the Terms & Conditions, I must read the Terms & Conditions"!

These days I never let my balance fall under a few quid, because of pre-authorisations. Keep a couple quid aside, it will help!0

Well I don't feel so foolish now, after several emails back and forth to my Bank they have decided to refund the charge of £30 to my bank account.
So am feeling rather pleased with myself for being persistant with my Bank.

Glad I am not alone with this problem! At one point last week I wondered if my card details had been compromised.
I think I have been refunded the bank charge from HSBC now.
