An Evil Scheme

Would it be so very wrong, if I just walked out on my wife & Kids and let the state look after them for 6 months while I live in the woods as a tramp and pay off every penny I owe to CC's etc?
It seems utterly wicked to me but it might even work. Is honesty the best policy?

Lol, just out of interest how is a tramp in the woods going to find the money to pay off his ccs?0

Sounds tempting Norfolk Jim - my only question would be if the state would get themselves into gear in time! You'd probably have to live in the woods a bit longer than six months

Jim you've got this back to front.
You've decided to do this now when its getting colder and heading into winter?
At least wait until the spring when the weather starts to warm up!!

A tent on the beach! Maybe I'll resurrect this idea in the spring.
Seriously though, I wish there was another way to self enforced frugality bordering on deprivation. Its just that the drip, drip, drip method takes so long. I've often fancied taking one of those deadly jobs - like king crab fisherman (The deadliest catch) for a few months and if I survive, hey presto, out of debt! Isnt it just human to want a clever quick fix instead of steady as she goes?0 -

My friend was a crab fisherman in Outer Hebrides.
Came to an abrupt end when they threw the crab cages off the boat and one rope got wrapped around his chest and nearly crushed him to death.
There are easier ways to live a frugal life.Egg April 10 £6600 Jan £4678 now £0
