I purchassed some bedside cabinets from ebay as I wanted to paint them cream, hubby thought I was mad when I brought them home but after sanding them down and priming them and painting cream I love the end result as does hubby.
I was thinking of changing handles to glass ones but I quite like the originals now its finished.

Pooky your kitchen is great you should be really proud of yourself, well done.
I love your "kitchen choices'" plaque I need one of those, and just realised whats missing from the top of my units now seeing yours, theses dangling plants!
so off to look for a couple all my wall cupboards have doors that open upwards so they would be fine sat on top of them. I had thought about looking for some old baskets but havent seen any0 -

Thanks all, it's so lovely to be able to show it off now. Although this morning I came down to a damp patch on the ceiling!! Think the issue is now solved (thanks to me balancing on a ladder repointing some brickwork near a downpipe/drain chute in my jimjams - yes jimjams!!). Just need to wait for the patch to dry out and I can seal and reprint it.
Spider plants are the only indoor plants I can't seem to kill, I love how they hang when they've got babies on them. I've got them everywhere in my house.
The "dinner choices" plaque was a find from The R@nge....99p or something silly like that. Just the right colours and it makes me smile."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
well here is my first ish attempt.
it has been distressed but cant be seen very well, it still needs waxing and am i right in thinking a light sand down with fine prior to waxing.
i used a wilco satin emulsion with POP.
I used brush and foam roller, the roller give a better finish i believe as the chalk/pop doesnt flatten our as well with the brush and ive tried several and find a harris no loss nylon works well for me.
any opinions welcome especially critical ones.0 -
