Hi I dont really want to go down the whole 30 day free credit report route.
I dont have any debts or loans at the moment and some1 said that this may actually go against me when apply for finance for a car we need.
I do however have a contract mobile with o2 and sky bill, bt etc all the usual, will any of these help towards my credit rating? Thanks xx

Hi
Have you considered just ordering a one off statutory credit report for £2 per agency?
The bills you have mentioned might appear on your credit report with one or more of the credit reference agencies, but unless you know which agency report they are on, they you cannot know if a potential new lender will see them when they do their credit search (as creditors don't generally search all 3 credit reference agencies).
And of course the accounts would only help your rating if you have kept up to date with all payments.
Not having any current debt products is likely to count against you for car finance - but might be worth reading here to give yourself the best chance of being accepted. http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/credit-rating-credit-scoreA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hi
If by finance you mean a loan then yes your lack of previous credit will probably go against you; but if you are going to get a car on car finance then you will probably be accepted as the car is security on the financeMFW 2025 #50: £1989.73/£600007/03/25: Mortgage: £67,000.00
