Hi I'm really interested in going to the pegasus bridge around the 6th June next year because my Dad was in the oxon & Bucks and fought in the war, I've looked at some of the coach trips which are pretty expensive,I don't drive -has anybody else got any suggestions

The Pegasus Bridge is situated near Caen in Normandy.

There's a ferry which runs from Portsmouth. If you book up far enough in advance you shouldn't get stung for too much. Then look around for some cheap rail or bus fares down there from wherever it is you live (you don't say where).

Alternatively get a cheap flight from an airport near you to Paris then take the train to Caen.

And then for accommodation try camping.
