What to do with worn out Crocs?!?

This may sound weird, but I've got a pair of crocs - still wearing them actually and they were my first pair ever - about 4 years ago! But the soles are very thin now and if I pop outside - welll, it's getting painful! I wear them as slippers in the house mostly and I was thinking - there must be thousands of "old Crocs" around - the sole wears out but the top looks just like the day I bought them - what can we do with them?
It's not very green if they all end up in landfill - there must be something we can do - anyone got any ideas?

Stand them up, fill them with earth and use them as mini planters. You could grow cress in one and chives in the other. :D

Nail loads of them upright to the garden fence and charge all the local kids £1 a pop to try to throw a ping pong ball inside one from a distance of.....Oh I don't know, what's an 'impossible to do it' distance? :rotfl:

  • Aldi have some gel insoles for about £2 at the moment, why not give them a further lease of life as garden shoes? In the winter you can wear them with socks, too. Other than that, I wear my old Crocs as house shoes, I hate cosy slippers.
