It is!! I used to shop there all the time, but only go for stuff I realllllly like if I cant find the same thing similar somewhere else. It sucks! Their dresses dont fit my shoulders properly either cause I'm small :( lol

Anyone know a way of getting a student discount without being a student???

Yep, kidnap/befriend a student and force them at gunpoint/ask them nicely to buy the stuff for you.

...or befriend someone who works there, last time I checked the discount was 25%.

I love Topshop but theres just no way I can afford them at full price and always have to wait for the sale. However they do set good style tips if you can grasp the idea then head to your wardrobe/Primark with a pair of sissors, needle and thread!

Wonder how they will cope with cotton apparently being more expensive for traders and Chinese workers being affected by the environmental impact over the past few months- if prices are high now, just wait for 6 months time!
Having said that, most stores in that category are overly expensive: American Apparel, Urban Outfitters, Flyjack, All Saints, Oasis, Warehouse... none are affordable for me and I think for most others!

Survey sites are the way to go I recon, surveys=vouchers. If it weren't for them I'd have no wardrobe!

I think it's more sexist that women have a much of a bigger variety of clothes. You go to a clothes shop & 75% is womens stuff!!

Don't forget - they usually don't have to walk up and down stairs either. Retailers are not thinking of pregnant women, before someone mentions it, or women with kids (the kids one can be anywhere, including the toys department)

ive never really thought topman ot topshop provided good value for money, especially now when stores like primark have upped their quality and fashion,,,if your skint go there!
me, i wish zara would offer discounts
  • some student discounts are so cruddy. its like, would any sane student (and not from a richie rich family) consider going into topshop?
and an HMV discount vouchers? i mean, like you'd really go into a shop that marks their stuff up 20% compared to cheaper outlets, thereby negating any discount? DUH no.

sometimes i wonder who runs the NUS, and whether if you visit the head office its full of chimps and monkeys running around whooping.
  • There's a coat I really realyl want, and its on the website, but i cant work out how to get th 20% off, is it only the stuff that it links you to? I would go in store and buy it but they got rid of it? Its £80 too so i'd be saving £16!!! Help!!
