Clearing my credit score

I had a bank account at uni which i failed to pay off so the debt went to a debt collection agency (buchanan clark and wells) who contacted me to recover the debt the total was £1100 but they said if i paid a one off payment of £780 they would close the account which is what i did.
Now i find that the difference between the two is still on my credit score even though both Natwest and Buchanan clark and wells say my account is closed. How can i get this figure off my credit score?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Wait six years or hack into their computer systems, these are your only options.
I think you will have a lovely default there and what's called a partial settlement.
Good luck."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -
So after six years it will simply dissappear? The debt was settled around five years ago anyway, is there a site i can check my credit score for free without affecting my credit score?0

You can join up to both Experian and Equifax for free but make sure you cancel their wonderful services before the month's up and you get charged.
Avoid all the parasite companies who sell credit ratings like for example creditreports4u, they will have old data at best."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0
