in Asda reduced from £15, the remote control has 4 socket controls.

These are fab, i got them last year and they were a lifesaver at christmas - saved crawling under the trees and being hit by baubles!! Ended up just leaving them plugged in - no longer have to switch all the lights off at night, just have to find the remote.....:rotfl:

hmm. If you swich your TV off with the power button on the TV, does that actually switch it off? (rather than standby)

I know the Xbox doesn't switch off completely, because I can turn that on with the remote.

On newer tvs there is no off button - the power button just puts it on tsandby, essentially atill using electricity
