Will the bank let me rent out my house?

My house has approximately 15% equity and is on my banks SVR which is pretty good. It's on the market but because of the current economic uncertainty I'm not that confident of it selling quick so I'm thinking of renting it out for 6 months to a year instead. I've already moved into my partners house.
I know I have to tell the bank if I want to do this. Do you think there's a chance they'll say no? I believe all buy-to-let mortgages need 25% deposit currently but I don't have this.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

You will only know the answer if you ask the bank. Why don't you give them a ring?
Also, what bank is it? Someone might be in similar situation with the same bank.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
