just wnated to point out here that
1. new users cannot send pms on the aria forums until they ahve made a certain number of posts in qualifying areas of the forums (so i cant pm about my win, they set it manually to allow me to yesterday and told me to pm RawZ but i still cant pm this morning)

2. check each thread for the name of the winner, some are not announced in the title it seems but i assume must be listed in the thread itself (i havent had time to look through them to see).

3. facebook winners seem to be only announced as a comment on the specific comp thread, and again it is up to the winner to contact them with details by sending a pm on the forum. i have not had notifications of replies after mine to those threads and again was assuming they would contact the winner or at least tag them in a post but that appears to not be the case. so check each comp thread on there for winners name posted in the thread of comments. (fb doesnt like me this morning and out of 4 i tried to check it allowed me to open the last comments page on one only).

im not going to have time before i come back from holiday now to chase up how to pm my details any further when i cant send them, nor do i ahve time to go playing and trying to find out which sections of the forum replies would count as qualifying posts in, and i assume that random replies that are not specifically relevant to threads wouldnt count anyway.

I must admit purplecatlover that this is why I don't really LIKE Facebook comps, I think it's probably alright if you follow the particular site, but like you say, they seem to just put the winner on the page. It was just luck that I saw and recognised your screen name (thankfully the same) or perhaps you wouldn't have known you had won. Lesson to be learnt here for all of us, if you enter Facebook comps, you need to note end date/time and look on their page; I think I'll be steering clear of as many of these as I can. As it is I only recently joined Facebook for comps only, I haven't even told my family :eek:

ended up with someone on facebook being kind enough to pm and tell them i couldnt send a pm so got it sorted and my prize arrived today

ive found quite a few of the fb comps will pm you on there if you win, asking for your details. or someone else will spot your name and let you know. this one they only post it in the comment thread, so when it ends you have to go throught he 100 odd comments to find the last 10 or so to see who actually won and then pm on the forums.....

would be brilliant if whoever sees winners names both on the threads on the forum and on facebook could post those names here too that way we can all see them easily enough. to that end when i come back form hols i will start posting them here when i remember to check.

its lucky for me that i use the same username everywhere so its obvious its me, but some people use different names, which means none of us would know who to tell.

in order to activate pms you need to make 5 posts in another part of the forum, a few sections dont count towards your post count, comps being one of them.
