Hi all,
I am thinking of buying a Blue Ray player, though I am not 100% sure.
But before I am having a propper go and look for offers, can anyone let me know on what to look for? Usually I am good with these things, but never ever thought of Blue Rays...
I have a 32' HD Ready Toshiba Regza.
I have seen Blue Ray Players with Inet Connectivity and stuff, but you need to by seperate dongles, is that right? (I could use a cable though...)
Any help is very much appriciated.
Thanks

I have the lg 350 and its great - plays divx off usb and obv bluray/dvd/divx off the disc drive - was cheap a while back for 80 quid, plus if you get one that has the original firmware on it you can make the dvd AND blurays multi regional (one of the few players where you can multi region the bluray - most bluray players will only let you make the dvd side multi region)
but if you want features (and aren't going to be making your own bluray movies via a pc and multi avchd) then i would recommend the sony players as my parents have the 373
The sony has an interface just like the playstation 3, once connected to the net (cable or wireless depending on the model) you can watch the bbc i player, channel 5 on demand service, you tube, daily motion, love film and about 7 other video channels. so if you miss anything on bbc then you can just stream direct to your tv (plus if you have a love film account you can watch films streamed to your tv - there about 500 on there)
The sonys also have 2 usb ports, one on front and back - they play mp4/mp3/avi/mkv and other formats, hd and sd.
**plus the dongle thing - normally it mentions that because you have to have a usb pen drive in the rear usb port on most players with net access, not for general use, but BDlive content - for example, if you connnect to the net and put in a 'universal' movie, you can click BDlive and have access to trailers and extra scenes and sometimes extra interviews and features - the player will download stuff to; and use the pen drive as backup space to help stream the new data smoothly**0
