Heads up on the Kipling cakes - 2 for £2 - the offer is only for 2 of the same kind (and works as such). So no R&R if you buy two different kinds.

The signs dont make this clear - but CS told me the signs would have said 'Any 2 for £2' if it was for different kinds. Wonder how many people have bought them thinking they were getting a discount.

Just been to Bridlington store and noticed that although the Duracell AA battery sel had gone, the out of date sel for Duracell 9v batteries is still there.Didn't get any because I don't use 9v's.

Also plenty of Operation and Buckaroos if anyone's interested.

The Kipling offer is confusing - there are 2 separate offers side by side One offer is 2 for £2 the other is 2 for £1.60. The slices are on the 2 for £1.60 offer and apparently only applies to SLICES. The other offer includes battenburgs etc and also choc chip slices - which are different to the ordinary chocolate slices.

The really confusing thing is that they are all sold at £1.09 if you only buy one pack - it doesn't matter which offer they are listed under! I foolishly picked up 1 battenburg pack ( 2 for £2) and one chocolate slice pack (2 for £1.60) not reaslising they were different promotions and thinking they would both come into the 2 for £2 offer (and hoping they wouldn't!). But I got charges £1.09 for each pack so I lost out on it all ways - no R & R and not even the multibuy discount !

Can't see the point of 2 different offers for the same priced cakes.

Just got back from my Tesco High Wycombe - bought Thomas the Tank and Bob The Builder annuals - each rang up at £4.97 but the till then discounted them to 2 for £8 so this combo is probably out.

The GOTW for XBOX360 has now changed to LMA Manager 2007 and I could see no posters/POS offering a discount for purchasing with the console so I think this one has now gone.

Was asked if I'd bought two the same flavour and luckily had.
SEL still present.

SEL £2 off per kg, normal price on pack, discount didn't come off.
CS woman was gone ages deciding on it and concluded that packs hadn't been relabelled yet and put back the offending SEL! (going back tomorrow to stock up freezer!)

Tried 2 Chicken Breasts with topping (cheese/ham/mushroom) as SEL stated £2.58 and pack stated £2.74. However she went and checked and claimed that the SEL was £2.74 and I didn't want to make anymore fuss cos I think she was getting suspicious. Most of the topping varieties have £2.74 SELs so check closely for those that are lower. Also will probably only work on individual packs cos they're 2 for £5. (They're in the poultry section not ready meals.)

Spotted packs of skin-on chicken but the SELs were gone. Also bit disappointed with the Finest ready meals - all the stickers and SELs said buy 2 save £1, no save £1 on individual packets. I also saw that some of the large boxes of lemon meringues had reduced labels on due to expiring soon but were also in a 2 for £5 (I think) discount so will maybe go through at a super low price? Also saw the KP nuts with 20% extra free but couldn't remember why they were R&Rable!

Good trip overall and amusingly was randomly questioned by police on the way home - I must have had a guilty look on my face! :rotfl:
