    HMRC woman was lovely and has set up a time to pay arrangement set at 100 a month for 6mnths. I have reduced my mobile monthly charge to £10 too :)

    Just a note to echo all the other posters to say that you've done the hardest bit and "grabbed the bull by the horns" so to speak. Nice to hear HMRC lady is nice (not all Civil Servants are nasty :) )

    Tashsa, well done for facing this head on and doing what you can to resolve it. One more thing though, please go and have an introductory chat with an accountant - a good one will save you more than what he costs you :-) personally i think it's worth paying for one to double check those figures.

    Hi Tashs,

    I was in similar situation and HMRC said I owed over £11K. When I finally had money and went to accountants it turned out I actually only owed about £4K. So that would be my first advice seek a good accountant as situation might not be as bad as it sounds but hope all works out for you. Good luck
