OMG Big Fat Massive Lightbulb moment ...FINALLY
Easterbunny
How stupid can I have been .....
I have been in debt for years (as you will see from my join date
) and cut back and cut back and learnt some amazing tips from this site and you lurvly people. Unfortunately because I thought I could try and carry on walking the knife edge and cope we now have nothing to live off so .....FINALLY I have realised I have to throw the towel in and stop being delusional about the fact that this aint gettin any better!
It has finally dawned on me now my credit card payments acutally exceed my monthly mortgage payment and if I multiply my monthly credit card payments by 12 and had no debt whatsoever I would have £7200 at least in MY pocket ..... MASSIVE OUCH
SO..... To all the wonderful Debt Free Wannabees on this board, I wish to announce that Easterbunny has finally learnt her lesson (should change to dumb bunny methinks). Sorry for that little outburst but I just wanted to offload that in black and white so it's official
No going back - no more delusions - DMP here I come (shaking in my shoes but one day at a time I will sort this mess thanks to the courage you guys have given me from this board).
Thanks a million to anyone who is listening you are all truly brave, amazing and inspirational peeps. Luv ya lots EB xx

Show us your SOA bunny, lets see what we can do with it, if you're serious this time.
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)
As of the last count I have cleared [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt.

Hi Easterbunny
Well done to you that Lightbulb moment is hard but when it comes it lifts a huge weight off you shoulders and it is a hard slog and a very long road but sometimes the simple things in life are the best I saw this quote the other day
WE DONT PLAN TO FAIL WE JUST FAIL TO PLAN
So stick with your plan now and im sure it will workout ok0 -
Thanks so much Winner I love your quote - it is so true. The thing about calling a halt to all this is I found that no matter how hard I tried to plan - I just didnt have the money left to do it properly and that is why enough is enough! I dont doubt it will be easy by any means, but at least I will be able to sit down with a budget I know I can manage and actually start to save for the things I need to. That is all I have ever wanted to do - I shall finally be able to start to reverse the process and I feel this is my last chance so I cant fail! We all get out of our debth with the things life chucks at us and I was certainly drowning but I feel calmer and more focussed now I have decided to face it all. When I look back over my life so far I have certainly faced worse things - money is important but there are much worse things in life definately. Thanks again. Congratulations on the lightbulb moment Easterbunny, it will get easier now, you've done fantastically to keep swimming all this time against the tide, now there's still swimming to be done but the tide will be on your side. Good luck with your new SOA

Thanks Gemmzie I think doggie paddle is the best I can manage at the moment lol! However I know with time it will get easier. I think the thing that scares me the most is I have nothing to show for it all it has all be just trying to live and robbing peter to pay paul - silly bunny I know but have learnt I promise.
