DMP with Money Expert or One Debt Solutions

Hi, First time posting on the MSE forum - need some advice or anyone had any dealings with Money Expert or One Debt Solutions regarding a DMP.

I really want to get on top off debt situation - Egg loan for £7,000 and two overdrafts totalling £7,000.

Really sceptical about using these companies and DMP - so any experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

You're right to sceptical, I could really reel off the horror stories if I could be arsed. I wont bother, I'll just let you know what the better idea is...

Get some impartial advice, from someone that isn't going to make a mint out of your misfortune. Like CCCS for example (who will also administer your DMP if you like). They're a charity, not a profit making enterprise run for the benefit of shareholders. Click this... Debt Problems: What to do & where to get help
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(
  • Don't do it with these companies. They prey on the vulnerable and act in their interests to line their pockets.

Other than the link Hannah has posted above, you could always do it yourself?

Why give these companies money when that money could be going to clear your debts and making you debt free sooner.
Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free :)
    Mortgage free since 2014 :)
