did anyone catch what the ingredients were for the little muslin bag to hang on the ceiling over your smelly pet/ or have a receipe, I think it had baking powder in it.

  • there was also grated lemon zest and an essential oil. can't remember the other ingredient at the mo!
Married MSE style (sort of) 9/10/10 :j
  • Two peppermint teabags and I think that the essential oil was Bergamot, 6 drops. On the subject of How Clean is Your House, I was amazed at the fact that a grapefruit and salt shifted the pure filth in that guy's bath! Kim and Aggie certainly know their stuff!
  • I actually turned away at that point, it was so revolting, made me feel really ill! :lipsrseal
  • It was the vast amount of used tissues that really got me going! But didn't they do a good job? I think it was one of the best clean-ups I had ever seen!

I think it was one of the best too. I think cleaning is a spectator sport don't you?

plan to have a bash at the muslin bag thing over the weekend now I have the list, our dog swims in the sea every day and there is the scent of wet labrador around quite often!

can't stand the ghastly plug in things can you?

I have tried putting some white vinegar in a bowl and that seems to work a bit, but being a labrador, she just has to have a little taste - urgh

thanks for your input, will post back and let you know if it works

  • I have to say that was the most revolting house I have ever seen! Made me feel quite nauseous!
Only when the last tree has died
and the last river has been poisoned
and the last fish has been caught
will we realise we cannot eat money

I think they put some orange zest in there aswell?
  • saw Kim and Aggie on Loose Women yesterday afternoon and they said that the houses they go back to on the visit are not always success stories and one time the owner had cleared the new muck out into the garden and the camera man nearly threw up.

If someone came and cleaned my house up I would def use it as a new start.

My house is no where near as bad as those houses they feature but it could do with an amazing declutter and scrub!!!
