wedding planner/organiser book

Can anyone recommend (a cheap!) one of these? getting married next June and would like a proper wedding organiser/diary for notes, and keeping up to date with what still needs done etc.

Also a good memory for years after we are married :o

thanks!

Just get a project book from Wilkos/Supermarket for about £1.50.
It's already separated into sections for you to fill as you want...

Either that, or just get a ring binder and put plastic wallets in (to put leaflets/pictures etc in)

I got a cheap but pretty ring binder from Wilkos and a load of card to make pages (nicked from work!) and stuck all of my pictures onto the pages in sections (dresses, cakes, flowers, fun ideas and so on) and printed out some tables of guests, things to buy etc and stuck them in too. I did have one of those project notebook things but I didn't get on with it because it seemed like everything wasn't properly organised as I kept adding things. I like my ring binder because I can add and move the pages as I please.
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

  • I have the following book for £7.50:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wedding-Planner-Frances-Lincoln-Publishers/dp/0711228639/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1284635480&sr=8-1

I'm finding it really helpful. At the start it has overall checklists and calendars you can complete yourself, and then it is followed by sections for the different aspects of your wedding. Each section has checklists, questions to ask different suppliers and space for you to fill out different information as you get it. Each section also starts with a wipe clean page so that you can make and change your own notes. The whole thing is a ringbinder for A5 pages, so it's easy to add pages to. There's also space in each section to tuck smaller clippings into if you can't hole punch them.

It obviously costs more than doing it yourself with a cheap notebook, but I'm finding the preprinted pages and checklists very useful so far.

  • Oh So Cherished do some lovely ones. i recently bought a leather one from there which was going to be used as a gift to clients, but I have decided to do these myself.

It is a gorgeous cream leather, with pen and lots of different sections etc, but is about £25 and wasn't in stock a couple of weeks ago, but i'm sure you can give them your email addy and they contact you when it's back in stock. I remember it being there last year too, so it's not a new item or anything and I would imagine it to be around for a while yet.
