Currently I have just returned to University again, studying a Part Time Busines and I.T course. I was currently at university before hand and had to leave because of personal reasons. Its because of this reason I am not getting my tuition fees paid for me
I am however supposedly receiving a "maintenance loan" the details of which the student loans company have yet to send me. argh!
I am also in a bit of debt, which is where my main problems lie I think.
I have an overdraft in my main bank which is currently sitting at about -£350 (£800 limit) and an overdraft in another bank of -£500.
I have one credit card sitting at -£380 and one Argos card sitting somewhere along the same lines. Ive had to change my job from full time to part time in order to study for uni but now Im broke !
I have applied for a mint card online but have been refused, I think this is because my parents have such a bad credit rating at my address at home.
Im really stuck and have no idea what to do, this is very depressing
I dont think Im going to be able to afford to go to university at all...please.. any advice that anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hello & welcome
i think there is every possibility that youve been refused as you have too much debt available to you.
Are you working part time and living at home, have I got that right? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I have recently moved out of my parents home but all of my cards etc are registered to that address. I am now living in a scummy student house near my university lol0

i'm a litle unclear why you want to get another credit card as you are struggling to repay the ones you have.
as far as your credit record is concerned it shouldnot be affected by your parents debts...apply to the credit agencies for a copy of yours.
to help with your general financial situation we need to know full detrails of income, spending and debts and any saving.. post a SoA

Hi there - my sister was waiting on her confirmation letter also. She rang student finance direct and they told her she could download it from her account. Perhaps you could try doing that?Debt Free Nerd No. 89, LBM: April 2006, Debt at highest (Sept 05): £40,939.96
