Hi can anyone advise please? My OH youngest son is 17 and in college doing a second year on a diploma - he will be 18 early 2011, my OH pays child support straight to his mum through a private arrangement as agreed to follow csa rules, ie upto 19 and in full time education upto a level standard now if we are correct then this includes the course he is doing at the moment which is a level 2 (diploma we think) But he will obv complete this course and leave collee next June hen he will be just over 18 years old - now if he us doing the foundation degree are we correct in thinking child support is no longer payable? Thanks
Focusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T

If he decides to do the foundation degree next year, then you are correct he will no longer qualify for child support, but if his PWC is claiming child benefit then CSA may say that until this ceases child support is payable - which would make it 1st Monday in Sept 2011 - YET if the child is claiming EMA at College as soon as his course completes, CSA liability would cease.
If the child is at College studying a Level 2, and you are not sure exactly what , it could be an NVQ, whereby child support is payable, hope this helps0
