When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

morning , I just realised I got the date wrong yesterday & no-one noticed :rotfl:made me laugh first thing!

So today's the big day :j we're going on holiday later :D, but have a lot of things to do before hand (mostly not of the DFW variety!)
  • go meet dd for breakfast (that's why I'm up so early when I'm not at work)
  • go & meet dd's new social worker
  • [STRIKE]check banking[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]update sig re GC[/STRIKE]
  • freeze apples
  • have leftovers for lunch ;)
  • get oh to make bread so we can make sandwiches for later (our flight is at 6:55) at the airport
  • go to lidl & get babywipes & mouthwash
  • call cc & find out when statemment is issued
  • get petrol, check oil & water
  • go get a gift for a colleague for her birthday (money from collection)
  • quick shower
  • make sure all sockets are turned off ;)
  • drop oh's parent's vacuum off
  • drive carefully to the airport parking :D
  • sew up a couple of holes on my black cardie
when I have done all of that I'm done & the holiday begins :j
Hope you all have a very happy, productive & debt slaying week :A

  • Morning all.
DNMS - have a lovely holiday, it will do you good to "switch off" for a while. :)

I don't have much planned today, and it's an accounts day at work so I'm feeling positive. That is apart from a meeting with my boss and my job-share partner as "we need to make things run a bit smoother" :(

    So far today:
    • run DW overnight on Economy 7
    • made yogurt overnight in flask
    • checked banking
    • checked for surveys (where are they all???)
    • fed and watered chickens and asked for at least 3 eggies today
    • made lunch for work
    I also hope to:
    • swap allotment beetroot for colleague's seeds
    • knit at lunchtime instead of hitting the shops
    • ask DH to print off labels for the 13 jars of jam I made on Saturday
    • all meals from mealplan/stores
    • possible NSD (but I may need to put petrol in the bike)
Not a very inspired list, but I'm not feeling very inspired at the moment! ;)

I listed 4 items on ebay last night - yay.

    I also need to:

    - wash dogs bed and get out onto the line - hokey cokey as theres blue skies today!
    - shred shred shred - recycling rubbish this week - dont want it sitting around anymore! there is loads
-list another 4 items on ebay

well I am going to leave the list there, for now. I will stop n later on and see how you are all doing.

    hve a good day
    Clutter clearout - 12 bags
Avon sales actual earnings - £0
    Ebay £ withdrawn (from dec 10) - £203.45
