Just what I've been looking for to use in the kitchen - Tevion stuff actually isn't that bad - seems like it's an Aldi own brand but you get decent warranties on it & they exchange with no problem if there's a fault.0

Ooooh, thanks for that, been looking for a smally sized TV with freeview that was cheap, like forever because my dvd recorder won't work with my freeview box so i guess i'll be down Aldi this weekend.
One thing tho, I was told that a response time of anything more than 10ms would result in blurring, is that right? And if so is it that noticeable?0 -
HHhmmmmm... 8ms is generally accepted as being the standard response , anything above is likely to cause blur...at least on computer monitors. Don't know if it's so crucial on tvs'..........otherwise Match of the day will be hell to follow!!
Mikeif i had known then what i know now0 -
Hmmm, well I can't be doing with football anyway so i guess it's all good.
Now I just need to find £160 from somewhere - tough call - pay off credit card or get a TV? oh I know what Martin would say!0 -
Yep the response time does make a differnce - but for £160 WITH freeview it can't be wrong. If you want to see what makes the difference nip into a John Lewis, Curry etc.. prior to that and compare instore.
Re the motion lag - yes you will get it but for the price its not bad bearing in mind most 15" LCD cost from £89 (Recon) upwards and a freeview box is around £20+ its not a bad deal especially as the warranty is so goodMe i'm always after a good deal.. :rotfl:0 -
Just thought i would bump this up as offer starts tomorrow.
Anyone think this is worth it. I'll probably use this to watch TV (football a lot) and play console gaming etc...0 -

Where would you get a decent recon for that price, i`m only looking for my bedroom and wouldnt mind a recon for that price0 -
from what i understand, the lower the ms, the better a screen is for gaming and the worse it is for tv and dvd playback....
Tis why its so hard to get a screen for gaming and playback....0 -
got one this morning, surprised to see it had a cam slot for top up tv etc. its not the nicest looking of tv's, its a shame they didnt spend as much time on the design of the tv than they did on the remote. the quality of the remote is something that you would see on top end tv's.
Just this second tuned it in so cant comment on picture just yet. however it tuned in pretty quick and surprise surprise it sorted the channels in the correct order, first tv thats ever done it. I live between two masts, so normally get welsh tv.
I can now say the picture quality is brill even on fast movement.
go buy one before they sell out.0
