Boots in-store reduced toys

Hi everyone,

My local Boots had some great reductions on some of their toys today - they were getting the shelves ready for the new Xmas stock and I assume that these products were no longer being stocked hence the reductions.

They included lots of Roary stuff ( watches £1.25, jigsaws £1.25), Thomas tank stuff, Charlie & Lola (wooden donimoes £1.50, book sets £1.25), Fifi (camera £2.50, TV £2.50), Science Museum kits, lots of ELC baby toys etc. Too many to mention!

Some items were going through on 342 as well so even more of a bargain. Don't know whether it will be in every store but might be worth phoning/popping in to see!

I have checked and checked our store for toy bargains but there have never been any, they now have the Christmas toys in so I guess we will never see any until after Christmas!

I have been popping in and out of Boots every few days waiting for some toy reductions on the stuff that they want to shift before Xmas. They had it all together over 3 rows and all the xmas shelves were empty waiting for the xmas toys. I was just waiting for the shelf labels to be changed once the reductions were 'live'.

Then I went in last friday and spoke to a lovely employee there who knows me as a regular and she was loading all the stuff back onto those huge cages on wheels. She was a bit pee'd off to say the least. Apparently Head Office has told loads of stores to remove all the pre-xmas toys as they won't be selling it at 50% / 75% off. She said they had spent ages re-arranging the store and now it all had to come off and they had to store it in the stock room indefinitely.

She has promised to let me know if anything changes but when I went back in today for nappies they were using all the empty shelves for xmas stock.

Am gutted to say the least as sometimes I get bits for xmas and birthdays - but well done KerryMay - sounds like you did really well.

Me too! I'm glad they were reduced because my son is so not into Night Garden anymore.

Thanks OP! Went into Boots today and got Makka Pakka Fun Sounds was £15 now £3.75 and a couple of ITNG toy chimes was £5 now £1.75. These were 3for2 so got the cheapest free. I also bought a couple of Fashion Angels Badge maker was £8 now £1.50 and some ITNG Iggle Piggle figure bubble bath was £5 now £1.25! They still had some left on the shelf at the Chelmer Village store if anyone is interested. Bargain Christmas presents sorted! :)

Our store seems to have done this too, for the past 2 years at least they've reduced all of their toys to 75% off and 3 for 2 in preparation for the xmas stock but this year they only reduced a few toys and took the rest of the stuff off the shelf. Im gutted too as I have loads of kids to buy for but I did get 3 ben 10 puzzleballs at 75% off so something at least. :)
