Where's my debt gone?

Hi, can any one advise me on the following?
I was issued a default by a company store card - and was expecting the debt to be passed to a debt collection company.
This was all about 4 months ago, and I've not heard a single thing from either the store card company or any other debt collection agencies.
Any advice on what I should do?
Should I wait for them to contact me? I don't really want to chase them if they're not chasing me. Any advice? What would you do?
Many thanks x

Hi
Do you know if a default has been entered onto your credit file by the creditor?
Does the creditor have your current address details?
Are you in a financial position where you coud pay off the debt? or pay monthly payments towards the debt?
It may well be that interest is being added so the longer you wait the more you will owe.
Plus if a default is on your credit file then it is inevitable that you will be chased for it at some point.
Whether you contact them now depends on your current financial position.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
