These books are fab, or they would be if I could get a set that aren't damaged! They have sent me two sets so far both of which were damaged. It's actually the outer box / holder that's getting damaged in the post, but when I asked could they not put a note on too secure it with bubble wrap round the entire case they said " thats down to the warehouse", so they can keep sending me them until I get one that isn't damaged, hopefully before Christmas!!!

Sorry to hear that :( Mine arrived a couple of days ago and I must admit the box was mighty bashed but thankfully the books inside were ok. What surprised me the most was seeing the RRP on the bottom of the presentation box they come in ...... £93.85! What a saving :j
  • Ooooh, my outer box was damaged too :( It was actually wripped down 2 sides but I couldn't be bothered with the faff of returning them (plus I'd already binned the packaging in the blue bin) so sellotaped them fixed. Might have been different if they were a gift for someone else but as they were for my son I didn't mind so much.

There was me thinking mine was a one off.......

my outer box was damaged too I did e mail them over 1 week ago and they said they would send me a new box but haven't received anything yet
  • When I bought the Beatrix Potter set from them I got a damaged box, I called them and 2 days later I received a new one, they are usually very good with damage. Last Christmas I ordered a wine book which arrived with a small rip but as it was a gift I called them and they sent out a new one. If you call them they definately give you a new box and just tell you to keep the damaged one.

It's the outer casing round the books that damaged (to the point half if it had fallen off x2) I want them for a present otherwise I wouldn't be too bothered. They collected one set already and sent another. The second set was more damaged than the first. It's just a faff on waiting for couriers etc when I work 12 hour shifts. Fingers crossed I get a set that aren't damaged soon!

This deal comes round every year, and every year I have to say the same thing. WHAT A BARGAIN! The Book People is a great organisation, no commitment just really great deals.
what sort of age range are the roald dahl books for
If you are listening to them I would say about 7 through to about 110, if you are reading then probably about 9-110.
