I am writing on behalf of my 76 years old Aunty, several years ago she was persuaded to take out a DEBIT/CREDIT card with LLOYDS TSB. After a couple of years she began having trouble with the repayments and a member of staff from LLOYDS made the suggestion that if she took out a loan with LLOYDS then she could pay off the DEBIT/CREDIT card arrears. She has been paying this back each month but several months ago she was rushed into hospital, she was really ill for quite a while.
She has now recieved a letter from LLOYDS TSB stating that as she is in arrears with her loan, they are to charge her £20.00 per day and £50.00 per month overcharge fee, a total of £130.00 per month. As you can understand she is extremely upset, as she only has her state pension to live on. She know that she owes LLOYDS TSB money for her loan, she is so worried that they will take her house from her to repay all these charges. I was wondering if there was any advice I could give her please. Any help is much appreciated.
Thank You.

How much does she have outstanding on the loan?
Is it a secured or an unsecured loan?
How does she makes the payments, direct debit?0 -
