order the service pack 2 cd for free takes 4-6 weeks
this disk only contains service pack 2 not the whole of windows xp

Just in case anyone is confused, SP2 has been out for maybe 18 months now. The majority of members probably already have it installed.

you can check you Pc for free by going to

www.windowsupdate.com

and then click on the "Express" button
