Hi all,
Okay so i finally managed to sort myself out and got a joint loan with my mum for my debt and although her name is on it, i'm making the payments!! its worked out really well and hopefully its quite 2-3 years off my debt free date according to the snowball calculator - woohoooo!:T :rotfl: :T
:A So, i want to say thanks to eveyone who gave me advice... you were all so helpful and really managed to calm me down and show me how to get my head down and really start sorting it out - thanks.:A
I've decided to give it six months or so and iim going to change my bank account. I'm currently with Halifax and they're not too good for me. Their staff arent really that helpful (or even polite) and i'm ready for a change - been with then 10 years!!!! blimey 10 years, i was only 15!!
So, where do all of you recommend, someone told me Abbey was really good.
Is it hard to transfer all your payments, bills, mortgage over, etc.
Any thoughts would be great!!:o
Thanks xx:D

I'm with Natwest, they are ok, i mostly use the online banking which is great,
I hear good things about Co-op
But i guess it depends on what your looking for in an account and how good your credit rating is.All comments and advice given is my own opinion and does not represent the views or advice of any debt advice organisation.

Yeah, I've checked my credit rating on credit expert and its really good (i think it said 'excellent'!!!!!) and in 6 months im hoping it should all be good!
We dont have a Co-op bank near me. I went into Fareham today, near me, and they dont have one there, or anywhere too nearby!!
My mortgage is with Natwest and they were really helpful, i'll have to look into it... thanks!!Joined September 2006: £18800.00 in debt:eek:

I was in Fareham the other day, (sorry I'm a matelot). I have a spreadsheet that lists all the services each bank and type of account offers. If you PM me your email address I'll email it to you. I note that you have a joint loan with your mam - after watching martin last night I note that both you will absorb eachothers credit rating - thought you may wish to know this.

Why not open an account where you benefit finacially in that you get some 'pay off' for switching. Alliance & Leceister offer a good scheme, but there are often other offers around at different points in time... keep your eyes and ears open. Quidco might be a place to check out too.
Failing those options, what about asking round your mates/ family so that they can recommend your local branches...
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0
