Northern Rock have declined the F&F?
Well as a result of their greed, they ve now shot themselves in the foot & they can accept £1 per month in a like it or lump it sort of way...0 -
Big companies tend to record the phone calls, maybe try asking for a copy of the original phone call when they offered you the f&f at £3800? Maybe then you will have some ammunition for you/your solicitor to use, or failing that like previous poster said they can just have £1 month forever!!!0

Mr Ton - I totally get what you say about the solicitor, however I have my nasty ex involved, so the solicitor was enlisted by my mom to help fight it along and to keep him in check.
I know that the £1 per month forever is an option, but I want to move on. I want to be debt free and know that the money I have is mine. I don't want to have this hanging over me forever.
They have acknowledged that they have offered the £3.8k and also said I can have the calls, however they are claiming that it doesn't matter as they have basically reviewed the situation again and changed thier mind. They said that I should offer the other creditors less so that they can have more.
Greedy Horrible Northern Rock. Had a bath and re-evaluated. I will see what they come back with tomorrow as nasty ex is having a call from a senior manager and it has been sent to to complaints team who can override the decision that the arrears department made to decine the f&f that THEY suggested. If nothing comes of it I have spent all ages getting names of all directors, ops managers and generally important people at NR and I will send them all a copy of my letter tomorrow if I don't get any joy.
Bad day at work, bad day with Northern Rock = worst monday in ages. I really do feel like I am constantly on the uphill battle. I am exhausted.
At least I had a NSD though.
