Extra money each month

Options
Yesterday was my 1st day back at work after a couple of days off and I was greeted with a meeting with my boss as soon as I stepped through the office door, thinking I was in trouble it was a lovely suprise to find out that they were giving me a pay rise!!! :j

After spending most of yesterday thinking of how I can spend the extra money (new clothes...) I had an idea to set up a standing order for the difference in my monthly take home and pay that amount of my credit cards straight away. If I am managing (only just) at the moment then I shouldnt miss the extra each month.... This is the plan anyway

Wont find out until November pay day what difference it will make though!!

Definitely! Don't even allow it to take root in your bank account. What you don't have, you don't miss - just work out how quickly you'll get that 4 grand wiped out and how much you'll have free once it's gone; it'll be worth waiting that little bit longer to spend your pay rise.
