Winter pampering

Hi there

I am thinking of doing little winter pamper hampers as Christmas gifts and need to think of what else can go in them. At the moment, I am planning:

Hand cream
Moisturiser
Lip balm
Pack of tissues
Maybe Lemsip or similar!

Anything else suitable?

Hi - you might find the special ocassions board helpful or the moneysavingoldstyle board helpful for this - I've seen a few threads (one very long) on people making hampers etc as gifts but can't remember which board it was on.

Hot chocolate sachets perhaps?
Bubble bath?

aromatherapy oils?
mulled wine spices?
little gloves to put over your hands when you have the hand moistueriser on?
cinamon sticks?
a little book? - ie stress releivers or a joke book etc (one of the very small books) - it does obviously depend on your budget.
buy a box of quality street etc and put a couple of chocolates in each one or buy one of the big ones you can get?

nearer the time it might be nice to make a small box of home made truffles per person, I normally make everyone baileys or brandy truffles and they go down a treat

Fluffy socks, a good novel, scarf (handmade if you can knit or bought)...again these all depend on your budget. I think there is a website that gives ideas for hampers or packs but can't remember it.

I like the fluffy socks idea. Cheap shops like primark or matalan do slipper socks very cheap.

I did hampers last year and the best bit (everyone commented on it) was getting some red cellophane (50p a metre from the florist) and wrapping up my (very basic) containers in it. Everyone thought I had gone out and bought hampers!:rotfl:
