  • I feel embarrassed now :o, I wasn't expecting my pseudo name to be mentioned so many times :) - all I can say guys (new & old names) is right back atcha!!! x

I also (bit of hard sell gonna go on now) recommend everyone reads at bit of the Dalai Lama "The art of happiness" (all of it if possible) there's many good thoughts in there but there is specifically one idea that is about when there is sadness in ur life, you feel that sadness and possibly regret, but it doesn't have to ruin/colour every other part of your life. So for me, I feel incredibly sad about my situation with my dd whenever I think about it. But it doesn't take away the other things that are good in my life (my relationship with oh, my son, my job, the joy I feel at being with ppl I am close to). It also (opps feel the soap box coming out, I really should watch this :o) says if you feel sadness & regret about a situation there is no point in feeling guilt or beating urself up. Instead think "if it is within my powers I will do all I can to change it. So there is no need for me to worry & feel guilt, it takes away from my fundamental human right to be happy" conversely also if it is beyond my ability to rectify the situation I should acccept it and move on & not worry because it is beyond my capabilities.

This perspective has helped me immensely to get my troubles into perspective. With my dd it is within my pwers so in the end it will be ok.

  • Hi

Everybody else seems to post loads of what they have done today. Mine seems quite trivial in comparison but I have completed my first mystery shopping trip. As a result got a free lunch from Subway and £4 as well. Only hope my report is good enough and they actually pay me otherwise it is a very expensive lunch!

Have to say was incredibly nervous even though I was only ordering a Subway.

I am sure the next one will be easier!!

how exciting to get a free lunch!!! x :j:j:j

    Hi everyone

Such a lovely thread we've got going today :D I was lurking at work earlier but glad to be able to get a chance to post too :D

Also good to see some new faces

    Here's what happened with me:
    - had my fair share of free drinks at work
    - charged my phone there
    - went to yoga - wasn't my usual class but I can't make that so went to this one - felt kinda 'free' :T
    - phoned mum using inclusive mins

Also - have been looking at 'spensive dresses on as0s and tried on loads at the weekend...today I got one for £12 in TKM@XX!!! :D However, cos of all my savings, I convinced myself it was ok to buy boots too :o Eeek, overdraftdom once again :o Bad bad bad... But still a saving on what I was looking at/going to buy and they are both v useful and the dress fits me perfectly and suits me much better than everything I tried on... :) Guilt absolved! :)

DNMS - Will be catching up with some more Dalai Lama tonight :T

ETA - almost forgot - filled my water bottle up with tap water before yoga...and I'm still alive! :p
