Hypothetically speaking
If someone has been with their partner for 8 years and has 2 kids. His dad who wife died some 6 years ago is talking about getting married so should he die before his new wife will get 1/2 his pension.
Is it wrong to suggest that he should marry his sons partner, so she can get his pension? Keeping it in the family.
We are talking, after tax, of around £1800 with a 7% increase every year. And that after it has been cut by 50%.
Right or wrong?

Right or Wrong? - I make no comment on that.
If the partner is a lot younger than the pensioner, you may find that the widow pension is a lot lower than expected as it can be reduced due to the age difference.0 -
So if the Dad marries the partner, who sleeps with her, both?
That will open a large can of worms.0 -

The kids father would also be their step brother.
Their grandfather would also be their step father.
Their mother would also be ther step grandmother.
If the son continued sleeping with his present partner he would be sleeping with his step mother.
I suppose they could make extra income by selling their story to the tabloids and appearing on the Jeremy Kyle show.
It's wrong on quite a few levels.0 -

So what's stopping them ? It's not illegal, although it's bizarre and perhaps indicates the driving force in the family dynamic is money..................
