.. ref to fermi last post You are correct I was not referring to statuate barred..............................................I was a bit concerned as the equifax report states this as a hire purchase even though it was a c c debt. Just was worried that it would stay on there forever until it was paid off0

An agreement between the CC company and the debt buyer over who's name and responsibility it will be to keep the credit record entry up to date. They don't need your agreement for that.
If this is down as HP when it is a CC debt, then that is clearly wrong. Should stop it coming off after the 65 years though.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

hi,
so do i need to get the status changed to a c card debt ?
or will it roll off after 6 years anyway ?
just to clarify there is no payment history on this account, as you said rightly earlier on they are just reporting the balance of th account which is being reduced0 -
Shouldn't affect whether it falls off or not, so I can't see much point in getting it changed.
Up to you, but it's nearly October now.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
