Forget all gubbins, get a solicitor to look at it pronto! May cost you a few hundred quid to examine a/the contract (provided one was signed) but the 'savings' of your 'capital' will make it up.
Alternatively go along to your local Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) and ask them to help you out. They offer FREE, independent and impartial advice.
You may have a clause in your contract or a 'cooling off period' etc. Examine it thoroughly, is my best advice and above all else, SEEK PROFESSIONAL ADVICE AND HELP!
