Several things have helped to give my skin a brighter look:
Eat more fresh fruit and steamed vegetables- do for 10 days and you really see a difference.
Drink more water. Difference shows within a week, 2 max.
Exfoliate every 3 days (twice a week). Use a mild exfoliant designed for your face. One for your body will just cause damage you can't see and could cause redness problems.
When you cleanse, use a muslin cloth with your cleanser. It can be used daily in place of exfoliating twice a week. Instead exfoliate once a week or not at all.
If you can, get a skin masque. I really find ones made with mud or clay make a huge difference. They are normally designed for oily skin but I have very very dry skin so its important that you apply a good moisturiser straight afterwards.
Steaming- use warm water, not boiling hot, just enough that it steams. Use a few drops of your favorite essential oil (if yu don't have a favorite, go out and find one!) or tea tree oil. Lush also sell some tabs especially for this purpose. With a towel over your head to keep in the steam, lean over the bowl for 10-15 mins. Do this with your face clean to begin with though! Repeat every 1-2 weeks.
Learn some facial massage techniques- google I am sure can help you out there! Use these techniques when applying moisturiser.
And last but not least: rest well! 7-8 hours a night, makes all the difference.0 -
Thanks Jennie
I will try with all the above

it doesnt suit everyone, but i find after washing/rinsing your face a final few splashes of cold water really perk it up, close pores etcc.n
i was given a book by Bharti Vyas (skin care guru, has a range at tescos) and its full of simple natural remedys/treatments.

Hi jenniewb, do you know what the Lush tabs are called? I've been searching the lush website, but can't find them.0 -

They are called "Toner Tabs". The idea is you use them when you steam your face then can bottle the water and use it as a toner for a week.
There are quite a few varieties, have to say I have three an have yet to get around to trying them!! Just have too many freebies to use up:o
You can either buy them separatly or individually.
