Cashing in endowment after 8 years

I am thinking of cashing in my current endowment (which we are in the process of complaining about) which we stopped paying into some months back.

It is only around 8 years old and the question is, are there any other options apart from just cashing it in and getting a cheque for the current value from the provider (Lincoln UK) that may give us a bit more cash? i.e. is it possible to sell it on etc.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

It is possible to sell an endowment policy. Not sure of the exact criteria and whether companies would be interested in your policy on not.

I think a company called AAP deal in endowment policies. You could do search on google for a list of companies and then approach one or two of them. Type in 'traded endowment policies'

    Hope this helps

  • Cheers Phil, quite a few options coming up on google, I'll try some of them tomorrow.
