Northern Rock Mortgage Expired & with cccs - advice pls

Hi all,
I'm new to the site an apologise if this has already been covered.
My husband and i got ourselves into debt a few years ago and have been with the cccs since May 2008 (all going fine there).
Also, we have a mortgage with NR, the fixed rate expired in August....
My question is, obviously we have a few defaults on our records, and debt outstanding and now am on NR variable rate. However, do i stay on the variable rate (not overly happy doing this as monthly payments could and probably will start to go up) or who should i try to get a new mortgage and in which case, who with?
Many Thanks, C

Remember a Mortgage is a priority debt.
If payments go up then the CCCS will allow you to amend your payments.
Realistically no-one will give you a decent mortgage rate at the moment even if you can get some one to take you. Stick with what you know and I would guess that your mortgage is probably below the fixed rate you had for the moment. If so let the CCCS know and you could pay more to the debts and reduce your DFDNew PV club member. 3.99kW system. Solar Edge with 14 x 285W JA Solar panels. 55° West from south and 35° pitch.0
