can i have some advice please - is this a scam?

Hi all, I hope someone can enlighten me - I never open obvious scams but I don't know about this one. I think I will bin it but wanted to see if anyone else had received a similar email. It appears to be from coca cola (maybe coke zone comp thingy)? Please tell me what you think - doesn't seem right to me.

Subject: Coca-Cola's Customer Satisfaction Survey

Dear Sir/Madam,

You have been selected to participate in a public opinion poll conducted
by Coca Cola, a non-partisan polling organization.

The poll is about current events at the national level and your views
about them. It is short and should take you only 5-7 minutes to
complete. All of your answers will be kept strictly confidential and
will be used only for legitimate research purposes.

To take the poll, click on this link: xxxxxxxx (have removed link in case its dodgy:eek:)

Each person taking the poll will win £150*

Thank you for your participation!

Sincerely,
Survey Manager

* The bit about 150 quid for every entry doesn't sound right. Has anyone else received this and, if you have, what did you do? Oh dear, there are so many scams at the mo, don't know who to trust anymore! :o

Many thanks for any help. Much appreciated. :) xx

I had one, I deleted mine.

It didn't address me by my name, which cokezone always does, so I binned it off.

"You have been selected to participate in a public opinion poll conducted

Since when did Coke become a "non-partisan polling organisation"?
    Or even "organization"

Always best to be wary and if unsure it is easy enough to ask on forums like this one for some advice.

I got like 10 invites to do this "survey" over Christmas, it sends you to a site, that has nothing to do with Coca Cola, and there are several diferent fraudulent surveys placed on this site, like for LG, Sony etc, probably just looking for your data, do not attempt to complete these...
All the best for the New Year!

  • Firstly, the picture saying mycoke rewards is clearly fake as it is too blury.
Secondly, on the page where your personal information is required the links at the very bottom saying "Terms and Conditions" or "1991 - 2010 Coca Cola. All rights reserved." Sent me straight to google stating "Oops! Internet Explorer could not find html.Coca-Cola.coml"
And the "search" bottom redirects you to the McDonalds website.
This is scam 419. Therefore I urge you to NOT complete this survey.
