clinique anti redness

Hi everybody

Has anybody tried this stuff. ive had rosacea for quite a while, its not very bad but sometimes i do have a flare up where i get red spots appearing on my cheeks. i keep looking at this range and Debenhams have 10 per cent off at themoment so im thinking of trying some of the range.

Theres 4 things, a cleanser, a protective cream, a day cream and mineral powder.

Does anybody have any advice about any of the products

Many thanks x

Have been to see your doctor?

I went to see mine and he gave me Rosex, a form of metronidazole to use.
This helped reduce the bumps and lumps.

I went to Boots and got the cleanser, moisturiser and the City Block factor 35.

I use the cleanser and moisturiser every day and my skin is loads better, I've not had the lumps & bumps and it doesn't seem to flush as often as it did.
I use the City Block if I'm going out walking or on the sunny days we've had.

I got some samples from Boots first, no doubt Debenhams will do the same.
If you do buy, ask they have any of the Bonus Time gifts left, whislt the skin stuff will be of no use, there was a cute eyeshadow set and mascara and a lipgloss.

Hi, i dont have rosacea but my cheeks are always red.

i bought the clinique anti redness treatment...
i did a lot of research and bought the cleanser, the cream and the spf cream. i found that there is one cream ,urgent relief, many people thought that it wasnt very good and the components not that great, that's why i didnt buy it.

the cleanser is quite good and soothing.
the cream ( it costed me £34 with a discount) is good too but the spf 15 cream is way to green, and found it greasy i did not like it at all and have used only twice.
my cheeks are less red now, but i do not know if it is because of this or because i started using the OCM a few months ago
Maybe if it's a good choice before buying all these expensive products.
i am quite happy with OCM and will not repeat with Clinique anti redness treatment.

  • i have rosacea too and wondered about buying it but I read all the reviews on http://www.makeupalley.com/ and decided against it. It's a great site with all sorts of reviews, I had to stop myself from going on it again because I could spend months there :)

You do have to sign up but I promise it's all kosher :)

    Well there's a question :)

I am currently using to cleanse:
    oil cleaning method sometimes
    origins mega mushroom facewash sometimes
    boots cheapie sensitive wipes sometimes

    To moisturise
Nivea visage sometimes (got a tube in my swimming bag)
Simple day and night cream most of the time
Estee lauder day cream sometimes (gift from friend, nearly done)
origins mega mushroom anti redness stuff
    Origins skin guardian

    Makeup
clinique powder and no. 7 tube for face foundation

I suspect some of the origins stuff is giving me spots on my nose though :( more than likely skin guardian I reckon, so I've stopped using it there.

I sound like a real crazy person here I'm using so many different things but the cleanser thing depends whether I'm bathing, showering or just cleansing at night. And the daytime stuff is mostly presents (I'm a lucky lady!)

Also I just turned 40 and I think it might be a bit of a midlife crisis :)
  • I have the mineral powder and it's rubbish - I'm very disappointed with it. I don't have Roscea, but do have red cheeks, and the best thing I've found so far is Lancome's mineral foundation. If you layer it, it does a very good job of covering up/minimising the redness.
  • I too have rosacea and sampled this in Boots - it was only on my cheek a few seconds and I could feel it starting to prickle and burn so had to get it taken off - which then caused a panic as most of the clinique cleansers seemd to make the burning sensation worse - they asked me to go and see my GP!!!

Saw my GP who says I have rosacea which makes my skin very sensitive - I can't use nivea or simple products either as they burn too!!

I found a product in Boots called expert anti redness serum - it's more a cream than a serum and quite often on offer, that I use under moisturiser. This does the job for me.:)
:naughty: Save money on toiletries: no new/duplicate items until I've used up all existing supplies
