Cashplus Card Problems

Just wondering if anyone has had similar problems with this pre-paid Mastercard.

Recd the card last week & wanted to change the pin number. Did this at a HSBC machine & change went through ok. However, following day tried to use it at the petrol station & the pin was rejected. Rang Cashplus customer services & after negotiating never ending menus & waiting on hold & bieng chrged 50 pence pm for the privellege. I was told that pin numbers could only be changed at Nat West or Barclays atm's.

Did this today at Barclays, as instructed i did not select un-block pin but changed it again. According to machine pin change had gone through ok. I tested the pin by drawing out some cash this cost me a £2 fee.

I then went for petrol again & this same pin was rejected it came up as "incorrect pin contact provider". I again contacted Cashplus & was told to try the original pin provided with the card. I went for petrol again & this pin was rejected,the payment machine reading was "pin attempts exceeded. I have again contacted Cashplus who have now said that the card must have a faulty chip & are sending a new card. I will have to make sure they transfer the balance over alright.

I also noticed that when i used the card to pay for goods over the phone it took up to three attempts for the payment to through. Cashplus also told me it is only possible to get through to customer services by going through the menus & they cannot be contacted by e-mail.

Are their any alternative pre-paid cards to Cashplus.
