Suspended from work - I've seen colleagues and customers what I have done

Jumpy can i also add that you need to look after number 1, yes you have grassed others up and what happens to them is anybodies guess, if they were sacked and you werent could you still work there knowing what you did
I probably get another job. As some potential employers will see my colleague of the region and several 100% interactions with mystery shoppers as plus points."The reason we're successful, darling? My overall charisma, of course." -- Freddie Mercury

So , you are planning on shopping in another branch of your store and you wont be taking any re-used bag points ??? Are you thinking that your employers will let you off with gross misconduct because you are "giving them back the points which you have fraudulently obtained in the past" ?
It doesnt work like this im afraid ...but nice try !0 -

Hi Googlewhacker - i have sent you a pm.0 -

What about not giving my loyalty card out? I know its not going to affect the outcomes.
Also I had to have a new card - not used it yet as received it on Thursday as there was another fraud that happened to my loyalty card - about £10 of vouchers just vanished from my card and happened at a store near Manchester. Never been that part of the world for 12+ years. The customer service team will not apologise and refund me with those points. So I've been a victim of fraud as well.
I didn't tell the manager this today - will do so on Thursday if relevant."The reason we're successful, darling? My overall charisma, of course." -- Freddie Mercury

I am really sorry, and I really don't mean to be offensive in saying this, but you appear to be somewhat naive about this. What on earth makes you think that someone would be pleased to be sacked because they are retiring next year? And what about the others - they aren't retiring. And if you are dismissed, what on earth makes you think that potential employers would be happy to see you after having been dismissed for fraud? I do think that the employer may be acting a bot OTT - but you appear to be so laid back as to be horizontal about the possible consequences for you, and for other people, of the choices that you have made here. I don't know whether your attitude is just coming across badly in writing, or whether you genuinely think these things, but I would suggest a serious reconsdieration if that is the case. No employer is likley to be impressed with such a blase approach to what is, in the end, a fraud. And I doubt that your colleagues will be truly impressed with working with a grass if you are not dismissed. You have mucked up big time, and for what? A few nectar points.0

I remember sitting at home on this very day last year and thinking to myself "my hubby wont loose his job , he's worked there 15 years...or my hubby wont loose his job , hes the only one in the factory that can do the particular role which he does....or my hubby wont loose his job....not given the circumstances etc etc etc.."
But the bottom line is this .... no one is irreplacable....you have commit theft/fraud against your employer and this is just my honest opinion here but i dont think you are seeing this for what it is !!! This is gross misconduct and your employer has every right to summarily dismiss you for this !
If i were you i would be starting to take this seriously , you are going to find it very hard finding another employer to hire you with this on your record . Get some proper legal advice...didnt you say you were a union member ?0 -
SarEl I didn't mean that about my colleague who's retiring next year. I am very upset at the moment and many occassions when I'm upset, words get mixed about and get mixed messages.
When I saw my deputy manager and asked if anyone else could have done this, I replied I don't wish to name colleagues as it will upset them esp those who turn out never to have done this. He said its best to do it now rather being suspended longer than needed. Or the alternative is to question every colleague individually.
When this is done with - either the sack or whatever, I will apologise to these named colleagues who are great friends as well. I know they will understand the pain of grassing friends when I know I don't like grassing people up.
If I do get sacked from this job, there is no justice as this is done everywhere.
I cannot tell my colleagues only put the number of bags reused down. As if I do, and their loyalty card transactions are searched and they see it stopping from today or next few days it looks like I've told everything."The reason we're successful, darling? My overall charisma, of course." -- Freddie Mercury

After reading through this a couple of times I've come to the following:
1. You've been suspended for fraud, entering the incorrect number of bags used to benefit from extra points
2. You've been caught out, and when asked about who else is doing it said "I don't want to name names" which means that pretty much everyone is doing it, and if I'm going down then I'm taking everyone with me.
3. You've thought about going to a different branch of the same supermarket you work for and not claiming the points to make you look good and "pay back" the points that you've stolen. It doesn't matter!
4. If you think you'll get another job at another supermarket then you've got a big shock coming. Who on earth would employ you??Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0 -
when i went to self-scan at that particular supermarket it crossed my mind that the system was open to abuse but never entered my head to do so myself - and I'm not one to miss a trick! So I think it may well be treated quite seriously but i do feel sorry for you in your predicament.0

I think you've reached the stage where honesty will be the best policy. Refusing to name colleagues only implicates them all anyway, whereas actually naming them at least shows you have a bit of integrity left. They may be friends more than colleagues but I think you're a bit naive to say they'll leave their jobs in protest if you get the sack. You have done wrong and need to accept that - the fact that many others have as well is irrelevant, because you're the one that got caught. Start being honest, do the right thing, at least try to redeem a bit of your character, because lying is only going to make your future references even worse!0
