    As far as I am aware, if the debt is more than six years old (and there's been nothing happening regarding it for six years), then it may well be considered statute-barred under the Limitations Act 1980.

    I'm not certain of that, however, so hopefully somebody who is more knowledgable can confirm/deny it. :)
    Anything I post here is purely my own personal opinion. As such it may be wrong, poorly worded or written very tongue-in-cheek. Please therefore treat it the same way you should treat anything you read on the internet from an unknown person - with a healthy pinch of salt and scepticism!
