My local Waitrose stopped taking printable coupons

I tried using a coupon printed from beforeishop at my local waitrose today, and was told they don't take home printed coupon anymore. Is this a new policy across all Waitrose? I have always used coupons on the products that I buy and I am finding it hard to use coupons nowadays.:(
