Warms the cockles of your heart - OS

Options
DS has just gone to Uni for the first time - he's been there about three weeks now and of course being his mum I couldnt help wondering whether he was eating OK, what he was eating etc (I know, I know he's a big boy now but you cant help worrying!!)

So imagine my OS delight when he called me last night about nine oclock to say that he was in Tesco, and there was a pork joint reduced down from £4.00 to 84p and he was just checking to make sure he could buy it and put it in the freezer - just like MSE!!!!

:T All is well!!

Have a good day, Lushkat x

  • Snap! my daughter is in her second year and what was the very first message I got from her on her return? I am safe and well or all OK? no it was "Can I freeze ham from the deli?" See we have taught them well. She finished her first year overdraft free and I was soo proud.

  • I used to get phonecalls at all hours of the day and night from DD1 aksing for recipes from our old Good Housekeeping Step-by-Step cook book.

It was comftoring to know that she was eating properly, but I could have done without the 10.45pm phone call about cooking times for roasting a chicken. Who the h*ll roasts chickens at quarter to eleven:mad:   Apparently she'd been late night shopping, seen a bargain chook that had a short sell by date (that day) and decided to roast it for eating later. Good Girl! :D

I kindly told her that prepacked chicken usually comes with it's cooking times on the label.

    Oh stoodents :p
