Right, got my 5 copies and here are the details:
Inside the middle pages of my sun - a pull-out on page 4 (back page) – a voucher for a free pot of Muller Rice – coupon is for up to the value of 52p – valid until 11th October. (Looking at the barcode it does not have 52 in the code, so I am assuming it would be a manual coupon input by the cashier, rather than a quick scan). The Sun costs 35p.
The Muller Rices are priced at 42p each at Tescos or on offer at 5 for £2.00.

OK I bought four Suns for 25p with my coupons and then bought 5 muller rices for £2 total so far £3.
Girl at the till scanned the coupon and then relised you had to put the price in which she did. She took the price from the coupon, max 52p. So she took four times 52p , £2.08. Also had 10p taken off for the muti buy.
(I think they are only supposed to take off the actual price which was 42p but the CS girl had been nasty to me this monring so I was not in the mood to correct the till girl!)
82p then for 4 newspapers and 5 muller rices

But can you convince the till girl at Sainsburys to manually put 52p through on the till as the value of the coupon!
I think if you only have one or two coupons you might as well take them to your local small corner shop. They will at least value your custom and thye also get a handling fee for coupons.

Wow, that's even better, thanks for the info tom.senex!
I adore Muller Rice, and always try to buy as many pots as possible when it's BOGOF. Mmmmm, yummy'Into every abyss I still bear the blessing of my affirmation' (Friedrich Nietzsche)0 -
First Tesco visit - I was using the health and beauty vouchers and some others, bought the 6 Muller rice pots but forgot to hand over the coupons LOL, not much evidence of an experienced coupon user today !!!
2nd Tesco visit - I was ushered to the new super-duper self-scanners which I hate. I scanned my muller pots and sun newspapers and when it came to the vouchers the SA did not know how to adjust the amount to be deducted. So I paid for them then went to CS to get my money refunded.
I now have 7 Sun/muller pot vouchers to use shortly -
The kiddies will enjoy the ones I have already in their packed lunch tomorrow - Welshy xI am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL
