H I have a few debts with dca's and am scared of them calling me at work. I know they have my work contact details as they were supplied when I done the applications for these credit cards/ payday loans.
I have ignored some dca's so far as it has proven good for me to leave them for abit then they seem more willing to agree payment plans with me when I finally get in contact. (As I spell out to them I’ve ignored you for two months I can ignore you for another 2)

The question really is why don’t they call me at work?
Does anyone think it may be because I work in a call centre and there is a recorded message saying that all calls are recorded? Maybe that puts them of as they can’t talk there usual bull
.;)

The office of fair trading guidelines to debt collectors say that calling debtors at work is unfair (document OFT 664).

It's an easy document to read, it can be found on this page here, I suggest you download a copy of "debt collection guidance". The DCA's do so hate it when people are informed. They also hate it if those people are honestly prepared to grass them up.

I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(
