Anywhere I can donate VHS tapes to?

I've got loads of children's Disney VHS tapes. Local charity shops don't take them any more. Does anyone have any ideas what I can do with them other than taking to the tip, please? Thanks :)

Thanks but I've already tried that. It was the first place I thought of. Seems as though most people on these sites now are very specific about what they want! They don't want TV's, they want flat screens, don't want any computer monitors unless they are TFT's, want specific mobile phones etc etc. Not like it used to be I'm afraid. My OH also thinks they take items to car boot sales. We've donated lots of very good items and when people turn up we're quite surprised with the cars, 4x4's they drive!
  • Have you got a local nursery, they usually have a VCR and the little ones kove watching films in the afternoon. I gave 2 boxes full to my sister's nursery and they were really grateful. HTH

Thanks for your replies and suggestions. All 50 tapes went yesterday afternoon!! :j:j:j. Case of right time, right place!
  • I also have a large number of assorted VHS tapes to donate. Can you please tell me who you donated them to ? Or does anybody else have any ideas ? Seems such a shame to throw them away.

Mine are older - one married with a child but they all said to get rid of them because they wouldn't be needed again. Nearly all of them are on DVD. Shame I know as I think they were something special but I have now reached the decision they have all left home and I'd like some space! :j

arran m - the charity shops in this area and beleive me we are full of them and take aways (!) are so inundated with them and no-one is purchasing even when they are only 50p. They need to space and it seems they have all decided to close up shop and not take them.
