Advise Needed re payplan

Options
Hi guys

started a dmp with payplan a few months back and they have taken 2 payments allready
now this is spread between 4 credit cards
a personal bank account and business bank account (both have loans on them)Both are with hsbc as is one of the credit cards

now the problem is payplan seem to be paying all the money That should be going to my loan accounts and my business accounts and the credit card i have with hsbc into the personal account (all in different sums ie not in 1 lump some)

now i have recieved a letter from a debt collection agency called metropolitan regarding my credit card with hsbc saying its been passed to them and a default notice regaring the personal loan on my personal loan
and a call from hsbc about the business account saying they will take court action as they have had no payments or communication with payplan but i have given them all my account no's etc

I am worried about the debt collectors/bailiffs coming to my mums house as thats where i live and i dont want them coming upsetting her and taking my stuff

what should i do ? i have phoned payplan but 3 times had to wait 30 minutes on hold so had to hang up

advice please ?

  • After you have made a couple of payments to Payplan they move you to another team to manage your account until cleared. I have also found them difficult to contact after my initial dealings with them.
I have a couple of questions as I can't quite understand your initial questions

    1. Have you provided account number details for each account you wish Payplan to pay each month ?
    2. Have you forwarded a copy of the letter from the debt collection agency on to Payplan, as it is likely that your debt has been sold on and Payplan will need to arrange new repayment details with them ?
    3. Do you have an internet account with Payplan so you can track the progress of each month's payments AND to which accounts your money has been repayed to ?
  • Hi frankie

3.no not sure how to do this

To check your account online you need your paylink id (mine is 5 digits) and go to https://www.justabank.co.uk to register. Once registered you can check your account online.

I've been having problems with them recently and I've posted on another thread about that (see below)

    2. Payplan are not interested in 'standard' correspondence from DCAs. There is a section on 'justabank' that explains all the correspondence you receive and what to do with it.
    3. Ring the Payplan number before 1700 (I can give you a direct number if you PM me).

They are only really interested in statements so they can verify balances.

For your information, Payplan have gone quiet on me and you must remember they are mega busy at the moment and they recruiting new team members every day I dare say. The jusyabank site will help you as you track payments, seme them emails. I would use this website (as you already) know to quell any fears/concerns you may have. Be paitent.

  • Cheers guys
    still cant get through

    any advice regarding bailifs ?
  • Anyone ????
  • Refuse to deal with them. Don't answer door/phone. They don't have the right to take things without a court order. Only deal with them in writing.

Send a message to payplan via the justabank website and they will get back to you as soon as they can.
