I think you have to choose who is on the cover of the magazine above which colour trainer you would like.
E.g. if you wanted the purple ones you would choose 'Foals'

Could someone give a quick color/name list please ?

red strokes (trainers are red with yellow tick)
black/purple foals (trainers are black with purple tick)
white/yellow M.I.A (tainers are grey with yellow tick)
blue (trainers are blue with red tick)
